Endurance World...

In brief: Costanza Laliscia

Costanza Laliscia is one of the top talents of Italian endurance and is very successful on an international level: despite her young age –  17 years old – she is already a very determined star!

Last year she won the Italian Endurance Championship and she was first in the FEI Young Rider World Ranking 2016. It seems to run in the family – her father, Gianluca Laliscia, was the endurance world champion in 2004.

At the age of just 14, she was the youngest rider at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy and again  at 15 the youngest competitor at the 2015 Senior European Championships, which took place in Slovakia.

Invariably in the top 20 in the FEI world rankings for junior and young riders, in 2015 she was nominated for the Darly Awards’ Top Lady Endurance Rider, which was handed out in Hollywood, and in 2014 won a bronze medal for her team in the junior and young riders’ category at the European Games in Italy. She has participated in 48 international rides to date, and has covered a distance of almost 7,000km.

Costanza, who rides for Fuxiateam of Italia Endurance Stables & Academy, has a top-level national presence, with several gold medals including:

  • Italian National Pony Championships (2008, 2011)
  • Ponyadi (2012)
  • Italian Junior and Young Riders Championships (2014, 2015)
  • Italian Championship (2016)
  • Silver Team Medal European Championship JYR (2016)
  • Bronze Team Medal European Championship JYR (2014)
