Brazilian endurance promises excitement for competitors in 2017

The expectation for the season is an increase in the number of endurance riders, further growing the sport in the country.

Brasil Endurance 2017Brazilian endurance riders will compete at 17 meets in 2017. 9 of these are FEI races, which will take place in five different states. Unlike last year, when the Brazilian Championship was held in a single stage, this season the country’s most important competition will happen across three different events.

The Brazilian championship, with the categories of regularity, 120km and paraendurance, will be held between 19-21 May in Brasília; the 60km and 160km Brazilian Championship will take place in Jaguariúna/SP, from 29 September-1 October; and the teams and 80km competitions for the championship will happen during the Conjunto Festival Hípico.
One of the most anticipated events of the calendar, the festival is now in its second year and will take place between 21-23 October in Brasília. It will feature dressage, endurance and showjumping competitions, as well as several cultural and gastronomic attractions for visitors and for those who love the ‘world’ of horses.
Last year, Brazilian endurance saw an increase in the number of riders in some regions and noted the motivation of endurance lovers to make the sport grow in Brazil. In 2017, this movement promises to continue and bring even more competitiveness to the races in the country.
