Name: Beatriz Muriel

Age: 41

Biography of Beatriz Muriel

I was born and lived most of my life in our countryside in Bragado, 200km from Buenos Aires.
I started riding from a very young age, helping in the work of livestock, with my ponies learning to jump with them in the forests.

Endurance World Beatriz Muriel. Riding on her own. That and a thousand games more which we invented with my brothers to have fun with the ponies.
I am currently working in the field of my family. I have to go out to walk the cattle every day and I train my horses while I work!

Does riding run in the family?

I come from a family where almost all women are fanatic horse lovers and this passion is transmitted from generation to generation.

Why horses?

Horses have been part of my life since I was born and I cannot even imagine life without them!!

Endurance World Beatriz Muriel. Happy. Why endurance?

I started doing endurance because it was the most compatible sport with my job just for that, it was the most convenient solution.
For sure it’s a benefit when I discovered that it is the sport that I like the most.

Own horses or ride for somebody else?

We principally breed our own horses or sometimes buy some. But all the horses I ride and train are our property. I train during the week and then my sister Carolina and my niece Josefina Ballester Molina come to help me when I have to do long trainings.
My husband Marcos is the veterinarian of the horses and my mother the breeder. We are a family team!!

What else do you enjoy?

I like to live in the countryside and breed our horses

My biggest dream was to participate in a world championship and I achieved it last year finishing in 20th place in Samorin.
My new goal is to become an elite rider. I need to finish only one more race of 160 km. I hope I achieve it this year!
