We tried to aim for the top from the beginning and the horse had a good recovery. This permitted us to start the loops in first position. The weather during the race start was hard on the horses but the horse response was very well and we finished the last loop very fast which allowed us to win”

In second place, 36 seconds behind the winner, arrived Mateo Fiori – URU (Sospechosa). They pushed the last loop with an average of 30km/h nevertheless could not reach El Caruca.

Owner Fabricio Folgar commented: “I couldn’t enjoy the race because I was riding as well. This was a shame because the horse is special for me, I saw him born (son of Kaiser el Nhyl, a recognised stallion) I broke him, trained, and raced with him many times. He is small but is brave even now being an old horse. His trainer likes him to sprint.”
Joaquin’s sister Teresa Sanchez – URU (HH Mister V8) arrived in second place.
Teresa: “It was a very good race, we achieved the main objective even when we had problems with the saddle in the first loop. My horse did what he had to do we got a podium place. I am very thankful to all my team”.
In third place finished Condrado Mayobre – URU (Tintorro) from the same owner of the senior race winner, Amaro Nadal.

Next race in Uruguay will be the Pan American Championship from 12 to 14 October in Punta del Este.
