Emirates Equestrian Federation elects new board

Founded in 1993, the Emirates Equestrian Federation (EEF) is responsible for all horse-related sports in the UAE.

A formal meeting headed by Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi was held on Wednesday 5 October 2016 and a new board has been appointed on a four-year basis. Dr. Ghanem Mohammed Al Hajri will act as Secretary General and, along with board members Matar Suhail Al Yabhouni, Mariam Mohammed Saeed Hareb, Zahir Al Muhairi, Saeed Mohammed Al Kamda, Adnan Sultan Al Nuaimi and Khalid al-Amiri, will focus on the growth and development of equestrian sports within the UAE. Saeed Mohammed Al Kamda will additionally take on the role of chairman for the endurance working group.
The restructuring of the EEF board takes place under the mandate of Ministerial Decree No. 57 for the 2016 year.
The meeting also discussed important international relationships and decided to form a joint working group between all members, clubs and villages in order to present a unified image. This will result in a joint delegation at the FEI General Assembly, to be held in Tokyo next month.
