Great variety of races in the Toscana Endurance Lifestyle 2017

San Rossore, Pisa, Italy. Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 August 2017.
The first day of the Toscana Endurance Lifestyle 2017 second round, was all about young riders with the Italian Under-14 championships. The classification is made on a point system and in all races we saw female victories.

The riders took the same track as used mid-July when 517 combinations that took part in the only Italian stage of the HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Cup Festival.

Chasing the lead.Ilaria Di Mitri – ITA (Egiziana) dictated the law on the 82km which turned out to be her third consecutive title in the under 14 after in 2015 winning in Viterbo and last year in Rossore. Second place was for Andrea De Mattia – ITA (Badal) and third went to Aurora Sirtori – ITA (Wesola Zabawa).

In the 59km distance top podium was for Rebecca Pintus – ITA (Rundinedda del Golfo) and Maria Letizia Grazia Orecchioni – ITA (Solitario del Golfo) came second before Anna Ferri – ITA (Ventidue della Cuadra).

Endurance World Toscana Endurance Lifestyle. Crewing.The ‘Debuttanti’ had to cover 28km and here it was Martina Carotenuto – ITA (Jura del Vallone) who took top honours before Mattia Fracassi – ITA (Mohessen Al Farah) and Chiara Raineri – ITA (Zeton).

On Sunday, no less than four races were scheduled.
In the CEI1* 80km it was a complete dominance of Emanuele Fondi – ITA (Socrate del Ma). The Italian 2012 and 2014 Champion averaged a speed of 20.41km/h. It was a close sprint for second place between Francesco Pilati – ITA (Rosso Blu Dey) and Martina Settembre – ITA (Quyd Ruspina) but the horses did not pass the final vet check both for metabolic.
Second place was awarded to Sara Guzzoni – ITA (Mambo dei Laghi) and third for Giovanni Porcella – ITA (Care to go).

Endurance World Toscana Endurance Lifestyle. Riding in group.Only two finishers in the CEIYJ2* 120km but that didn’t take away the tense fight which came down to a close sprint won by Lucrezia Accorroni – ITA (Ice Cool) with Niccolò Trotta – ITA (Nayf Jamal) close on her heels.

For the CEI2* 120km Ladies it was a comfortable win for Elisabetta Bordichini – ITA (Cassandra Fox) with an eleven minutes advantage on Lucrezia Bellaccini – ITA (Kaligola) who kept a five seconds gap on Patrizia Cianferoni – ITA (Nestor).

From the third loop, onwards success in the CEI2* 120km was looking good for Daniele Massobrio – ITA (Borneo Bosana) who had an impressive lead on second placed Andrea Iacchelli – ITA (Oh Carol) at the finish.
