When it rains hard in Trinidad

Trinidad, Flores, Uruguay. Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May 2017. Horse passion is in the blood of Uruguayan, they have a very active race calendar.
Last weekend Trinidad hosted the international races in the local Hippodrome, located 190km from capital City of Uruguay, Montevideo.

The track in Trinidad is very good and also fast, it even has a lot of hills. On Saturday, the CEI2* 120km CEI Senior and Young Riders categories were scheduled.

The fight for victory in the senior category was tough.
Sebastian Landriel (Maruco) started the last loop two minutes in front of Isha Judd (JQ Zarial). Isha Judd pushed a lot with an average speed of 29.45km/h and finally arrived two seconds behind Sebastian Landriel. Behind him, Luis Crucci (HLD Patron) who was leading first and second loop maintained his speed and let the others fight.
Finally, Luis was the winner because Sebastian’s’ horse was eliminated with irregular gait and Isha’s for metabolic.
In second place finished Jonatan Rivera (El Sheik) four minutes from the leader and third place was for Monica Pinto (Nuance Do Bom Viver).

Endurance World Trinidad. Good for a podium place.In the Junior Category of the CEIYJ2* 120km, first and second loop was led by Diego Macalister (MC Yara) then eliminated for irregular gait. Camila Placeres (Tiznado) was in first place out to the track in the last loop. Paulina Berriel (SB Bayda Gebha) managed to increase the speed to 27.7km/h and catched Camila Placeres, winning and leaving Camila in second place. In third place finished Stefany Rogel (Ifo LS Brunelo).

Endurance World Trinidad. And another winner.On Sunday, it was time for the CEI1* 80km which was divided into three stages of 33.5, 28.5 and 19km.
After a lot of rain the night before and during the race, the track was still good, although the terrain was heavier for the horses. These conditions took the race to a difficult level.

For the horses it was harder to recover, but in senior race the winner managed to finish with a good speed of 27.25km/h in the last loop. The team colleagues arrived together to the finish line, they were Andres Martinez (Turko Ali) who was the winner and Juan Pablo Viana (Tsunami Del Timote) in second place.

Juan Pablo told us “It rained for the whole day. Along with Andres (Martinez) we ran the race and arrived together, we were able to increase two minutes and a half in the last kilometres to our closest pursuer. I am happy because my horse debuted at this distance and came out with great force.” Third place came Antonio Costa (Salera).

Endurance World Trinidad. A happy rider.In the Junior category of the CEIYJ1* 80km the winner was Teresa Sanchez (Turquita) with an average speed of 22.32km/h. Second place went to Stefany Rogel (IFO SB Lajay) and Manuala Ferber (Poca Facha Charrua) in third.
